摘要: Background: The biotechnological potential of medicinal plants from Brazilian Caatinga and the Atlantic Forest has not been extensively studied. Thus, screening programs are important in prospecting for compounds developing new drugs. purpose this study was to determine chemical composition evaluate anti-Candida activity essential oils leaves Hymenaea courbaril var. courbaril, Myroxylon peruiferum, Vismia guianensis. Methods: were extracted through hydrodistillation their compositions analyzed by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry. Antifungal against C. albicans, tropicalis, parapsilosis, glabrata, krusei evaluated determining minimal inhibitory (MIC) fungicidal (MFC) concentrations. Results: major caryophyllene oxide trans-caryophyllene H. courbaril; spathulenol, α-pinene, M. peruiferum; humulene epoxide II V. guianensis oil. showed antifungal all strains tested, MIC values ranged between 0.625 1.25 μL/mL MFC 2.5 μL/mL. Conclusion: species studied have be as clinical applications treatment candidiasis.
