摘要: Cardiac neural crest cells are essential for outflow tract remodeling in animals with divided systemic and pulmonary circulatory systems, but their contributions to cardiac development a single-loop system less clear. Here we genetically labeled examined contribution the developing zebrafish heart. We identified two populations of that contribute distinct compartments cardiovascular at different developmental stages. A stream migrating through pharyngeal arches 1 2 integrates into myocardium primitive heart tube between 24 30 h post fertilization gives rise cardiomyocytes. second wave along aortic arch 6 envelops endothelium ventral aorta invades bulbus arteriosus after three days development. Interestingly, while inhibition FGF signaling has no effect on integration tube, it prevents these from contributing tract, demonstrating disparate responses signaling. Furthermore, ablation leads multiple defects, including reduced rate, defective myocardial maturation failure recruit progenitor field. These findings add our understanding provide insights requirement maturation.
