摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter deals with TiO 2 -based dye-sensitized solar cell. Titanium dioxide (TiO ) is an n-type wide band gap semiconductor, which transparent for visible light. Dye-sensitized cells (DSCs) convert light energy to electrical through charge separation in sensitizer dyes adsorbed on a semiconductor. Energy conversion from electrode immersed electrolyte reported by Vlachopoulos. Although the was able occur at high efficiency, efficiency not because of low absorption coefficient cells. By designing proper thickness and sensitization dyes, DSCs are absorb most The development cell covers range chemistry physics, all components including organic inorganic materials should be designed properly view kinetics electron transport transfer, whose mechanism governed nanosized structure. It also interesting aspect where collaboration among different fields scientists important develop elucidate cells' working principle. Further increase gained interdisciplinary research.
