摘要: Endothelial cells are a potent source of hematopoietic growth factors when stimulated by soluble products monocytes. Interleukin 1 (IL 1) is released activated monocytes and mediator the inflammatory response. We determined whether purified recombinant human IL could stimulate cultured umbilical vein endothelial to release factors. As little as U/ml factor production cells, increasing amounts enhanced in dose-dependent manner. Growth increased within 2 4 hr remained elevated for more than 48 hr. To investigate molecular basis these findings, oligonucleotide probes granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating (GM-CSF), granulocyte (G-CSF), macrophage (M-CSF), multi-CSF were hybridized poly(A)-containing RNA prepared from unstimulated 1-stimulated cells. Significant levels GM-CSF G-CSF, but not M-CSF or multi-CSF, mRNA detected Biological assays performed on cell-conditioned medium confirmed presence both GM- G-CSF. These results demonstrate that can provide mechanism which modulate function during course an
