摘要: ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE To analyze the prevalence of not consulting a doctor within year. METHODS Cross-sectional population-based study, including women aged 20–60 years, living in urban area Sao Leopoldo, state Rio Grande do Sul, 2015. The association between variables and outcome was assessed using ratios 95% confidence intervals (95%CI). adjusted analysis performed Poisson regression with robust variance. RESULTS Among 1,127 participating 954 (84.6%, 95%CI 82.5–86.7) reported having consulted physician year prior to interview, 173 (15.4%, 13.2–17.5) did not. Women belonging lower income classes D E, younger, smokers had higher prevalences no medical visits. participants hypertension consultations. CONCLUSIONS There expected evolution local health system, despite emergence policies implemented this period. It is necessary provide care for those less favored socioeconomic conditions younger women.
