摘要: Climate change and its consequences present one of the most important threats to water resources systems which are vulnerable such changes due their limited adaptive capacity. Water in arid mountain regions, as Al Jabal Akhdar; northern Sultanate Oman, potential adverse impacts environmental climate change. Besides climatic change, current demographic trends, economic development related land use exerting pressures have direct on increasing demands for vulnerability. In this study, vulnerability assessment was carried out using guidelines prepared by United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Peking University evaluate four components resource system: stress, pressure, ecological health, management The calculated index (VI) high, indicating that experiencing levels stress. Ecosystem deterioration dominant parameter capacity category driving resources. will support policy decision makers evaluating options modify existing policies. It also help developing long-term strategic plans mitigation adaptation measures implement effective policies sustainable management, therefore sustenance human wellbeing region.
