摘要: Monodisperse polystyrene lattices, at high electrolyte concentrations and with an adsorbed layer of nonionic surface active agent, produced weakly flocculated dispersions which sedimented rapidly to give a final sediment concentration ∼30% by volume. Three lattices were used particle sizes in the range 1–2 μm. The agent was C12E6. Optical microscopy dilute systems showed that dense flocs formed easily disrupted small shear stresses. Shear wave propagation experiments volume fraction dependence rigidity modulus, G, these frequency. frequency limit G(∞), calculated from pair potential distribution function determined using one current perturbation theories. interparticle combination van der Waals’ attraction, both steric electrostatic repulsion.
