摘要: Abstract Purpose Working in oncology departments is a stressful and emotionally consuming experience professionals are particularly at risk for developing stress-related syndromes. Defense mechanisms (high-adaptive) mindfulness dispositions known as facilitators of well-being adaptation. In this study we analysed the role these unconscious conscious strategies protecting clinicians from symptoms. Method A convenience sample 63 was assessed on defense style, disposition, depression anxiety symptoms using self-reported questionnaires. Demographic professional information included data collection. Results did not show significance differences demographic characteristics among all studied variables. Mature style were highly negatively correlated with anxiety, while positive association found between immature both Hierarchical multiple regression analyses styles predictors depression, whereas only predicted anxiety. Conclusions The present provides first empirical evidence influence share several common-points should be seen complementary enhancing physical psychological well-being.
