摘要: Primordial magnetic fields generated in the early Universe are subject of considerable investigation, and observational limits on their strength required to constrain theory. Due impact reionization process, primordial can be limited using latest data observed UV luminosity function high-redshift galaxies. Given steep faint-end slope function, faint galaxies contribute substantial ionizing photons, low-luminosity cut-off has an total budget thereof. Magnetic pressure from affects such by preventing collapse haloes with mass below 1010 M, B0 comoving field strength. In this Letter, implications these effects consistently incorporated a simplified model for reionization, uncertainties due cosmological parameters, parameters addressed. We show that ionization degree at z∼ 7 leads strongest upper limit B0≲ 2–3 nG. Stronger could follow measurements high z > 7.
