摘要: Long range dependence or long memory is a feature of many processes in the natural world, which provides important insights on underlying mechanisms that generate observed data. The usual tools available to characterize phenomenon are mostly based second-order correlations. However, effects may not be evident at level correlations and require deeper analysis nature stochastic processes. After short review notions used dependence, we analyze data related abundance exploited fish populations an example higher order dependence. In particular, find population time series were thought have term only because previous studies averages over species instead modeling each individually.
