摘要: A retrospective review of the clinical records and radiographs 1344 ankle sprains occurring over a 41-month period at United States Military Academy was performed. The incidence severity these did not differ significantly from other studies with exception those injuries involving tibiofibular ligaments. Those patients sustaining incomplete to syndesmosis had recovery time almost twice that severe (3rd degree) (55 vs. 28 days). Eight 13 10 15 were available for follow-up examination an average 20 months postinjury (range 7-39 months). All this injury positive "squeeze test" (compression fibula tibia mid-calf) initial examination. Nine developed ossification in radiographs. None chronic instability, loss motion, or arthritic changes joint final followup.
