摘要: This paper investigates the value of large scale applications electricity storage in selected European power systems context wind generation confronted with a grid bottleneck. It analyzes market to 2030 two technologies, assuming situation projected for Germany and France. The analysis assesses evolution economics based on net present cash flows. Sensitivities regulatory drivers are assessed, e.g. price spreads, ancillary services revenues, curtailment level carbon prices. concludes by suggesting possible ways improve competitiveness storage, such as research development deployment programmes, changes design markets arrangements enable owners better capture benefits storage. Such would allow where economically viable, play critical role establishing future sustainable system.
