Comparisons between model equations for long waves

摘要: Considered here are model equations for weakly nonlinear and dispersive long waves, which feature general forms of dispersion pure power nonlinearity. Two variants such introduced, one Korteweg-de Vries type regularized long-wave type. It is proven that solutions the initial-value problem these two types same, to within order accuracy attributable either, on time scale during effects may accumulate make an order-one relative difference wave profiles.
