Epidemiology and survival of colon cancer among Egyptians: a retrospective study

摘要: Abstract Introduction Colorectal cancer is the 4th commonest in world. Studies had shown different tumor behavior depending on site, pathology and stage. However characters of Egyptian colon patients are not well addressed. Method Computerized registry a tertiary hospital Egypt was searched for cases. Demographic, pathologic treatment data were collected analyzed using SPSS program. Results About 360 attended our center last 12 years. Tumor showed great diverse from that developed countries, with especially prognosis survival. Conclusion Egyptians have unique behavior, compliance regimens. Multicenter prospective studies, as evolving guidelines needed to address this.
