摘要: Airway hemangiomas (AHs), which are common in infant airways, often cause significant upper airway obstruction. The various therapies used for AH have limitations and complications. Propranolol may a potential role its treatment, since it leads to regression or stabilization of cutaneous infantile hemangiomas. To date, only 4 previous case reports (7 patients) propranolol was been published. Based on encouraging preliminary data use our goal further investigate as an effective initial treatment AHs that obstruction symptoms. In this retrospective series, we reviewed the medical records 5 consecutive pediatric patients with (glottic subglottic) treated at tertiary care children's hospital. All were 2 months age time hemangioma diagnosis had stridor physical signs severe Hemangioma diagnosed by flexible laryngoscopy bronchoscopy. received mg/kg/day showed relief symptoms within 24 hours initiation. tolerated without cardiovascular Outcomes from conjunction available literature, suggest is safe symptomatic AH.
