摘要: The paper draws on Colombo, Sri Lanka as the case study for developing Water Sensitive Planning and Design (WSPD) to deliver a flood resilient urban environment. Digital data documentary were evaluated analyse water sensitive characteristics, potentials constraints within catchment. Spatial analysis tools in ArcGIS used when analysing issues landscape mosaic. Evaluation of mosaic clearly identifies form its significant creating ecological links patches, such as, marshes, streams, roads shrubs that can create potential opportunities during stormwater management. Geographically, low-lying area plays an important role natural detention/retention basin catchment intensive rainfall. In addition, increased impervious surfaces created by high-density development limited availability space have challenges retrofitting additional infrastructure. planning play safeguarding strategies deal with related more compromising accommodating ways situating infrastructure optimise connectivity corridors. demonstrated importance street layouts support WSPD. This approach provides sustainable protection outcomes achieve environment
