摘要: Poly(arylene ether nitrile) (PEN)/phthalonitrile prepolymer (PNP) blends were prepared via a melt-mixing process. The melt flow properties, compatibility, and thermal mechanical properties characterized by dynamic rheological testing, analysis, tensile fracture surface morphology observation. melt-mixed PEN/PNP displayed excellent during processing. When the PNP content in PEN was increased, viscosity of decreased considerably. Compared with that pure PEN, complex blend an 11% addition dropped sharply from 7000 to 2000 Pa s at 350°C frequency 10 Hz. analysis differential scanning calorimetry results showed good compatibility between PNP. Observations fractured surfaces revealed better component dispersion which dissolved matrix. Importantly for further commercial applications, blending materials maintained characteristic thermooxidative stability PEN. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci,
