Physical and photoelectrochemical characterizations of SrWO 4 prepared by thermal decomposition. Application to the photo electro-oxidation of ibuprofen

摘要: We have reported the semi conducting and photoelectrochemical properties of SrWO4 prepared by chemical route. The phase purity is confirmed X-ray diffraction oxide characterized scanning electron microscopy, diffuse reflectance, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. crystallizes in scheelite structure with an average crystallite size 378 ± 6 nm. Raman spectrum gives intense peak at 920 cm−1 assigned to Ag mode while infrared analysis confirms hexagonal coordination tungsten. UV-visible spectroscopy shows indirect optical transition 2.60 eV. exhibits n-type conduction oxygen deficiency, chrono-amperometry intensity potential J(E) curve a small hysteresis. Mott-Schottky plot electrons density 5.72 × 1018 cm−3 flat band 0.27 VSCE, indicating that derives mainly from W6+: 6s orbital. (EIS), measured range (1–105 Hz), predominance bulk contribution dark 38 kΩ cm2. As application, ibuprofen degraded electrocatalysis on conversion rate 42%. An improvement up 77% has been obtained electrophotocatalysis under UV light; follows first order kinetic constant 2.32 10−4 min−1.
