Temporally resolved, independent stages of individual exocytotic secretion events

摘要: The stages of the complex events involved in exocytotic secretion after vesicle-cell membrane fusion have been examined at level individual vesicles. Catecholamine flux from single bovine adrenal medullary cells was measured with carbon-fiber microelectrodes firmly touching cell surface. data reveal that during has three distinct stages: a small increase catecholamine flux, rapid, but not instantaneous, rise to maximum, followed by an exponential decrease flux. These are interpreted following ways. initial stage corresponds through pore. rate pore expansion appears control time its maximum value. final is consistent chemical dissociation intravesicular matrix or gel.
