摘要: The stability of a relativistic electron layer inside magnetron waveguide is examined. dispersion relationship for the cyclotron maser/negative mass instability in this "gyromagnetron" device derived, using Pierce type analysis. coupling constant e between beam and circuit computed. Based on study ~, we design proof-ofprinciple experiment gyromagnetron amplifier which operates at sixth harmonic, thereby reducing magnetic field requirement by factor six. operating voltage relatively low. problem mode competition examined, but found to be not serious. procedure described.
