摘要: OBJECTIVE: The aim of the present study was to evaluate efficacy a milkfat globule membrane (MFGM)-enriched protein fraction in complementary food on diarrhea anemia and micronutrient status. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: A randomized double-blind controlled design 550 infants 6 11 months old who received daily for (40 g/day) with source being either MFGM or skim milk proteins (control). Health nutritional status were examined monthly outpatient clinic; product intake patterns morbidity assessed by home visits twice per week. Hemoglobin measured at 0 intervention. Results are presented as entire group 8 9 subgroups. RESULTS: total 499 completed study. Global prevalence 3.84% 4.37% control respectively (P < 0.05). Consumption reduced episodes bloody (odds ratio 0.54; 95% confidence interval 0.31-0.93 P = 0.025) adjusting potable water facilities covariates. There no differences between groups serum ferritin zinc folate. CONCLUSIONS: Addition an MFGM-enriched had beneficial effects may thus help improve health vulnerable populations.
