摘要: Comparison of the sequence N-terminal 30 amino acids cartilage-inducing factor-A (CIF-A) from bovine demineralized bone with corresponding human transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) revealed 100% identity. Furthermore, CIF-A stimulated normal rat kidney fibroblasts to become anchorage-independent and form colonies in soft agar (in presence epidermal factor) a manner similar TGF-beta. Similarly, TGF-beta platelets induced muscle mesenchymal cells differentiate synthesize cartilage-specific macromolecules equivalent CIF-A. These data show that are closely related or identical molecules these factors may be involved cell differentiation including cartilage formation as first step endochondral formation.
