摘要: We describe a system that communicates motion information computed in 2D photosensitive array using fully arbitered, asynchronous channels. The architecture is neurally inspired, and employs analog winner-takes-all (WTA) circuits, instead of the digital binary-tree arbiters found other designs. have fabricated prototype incorporates an 9×12 pixels 2 µm, double-polysilicon, double-metal process. Experimental results verify functionality with full-handshaking communication cycle 3 µs. tested WTA circuits independently, verified their operation down to 18 ns cycle.
