摘要: Abstract The present study was undertaken to evaluate the growth performance and muscle composition of Labeo rohita fingerlings fed on composted aquatic weed (Salvina cuculata) diets in laboratory conditions. Four experimental which (CW) incorporated multiples 10% from 20 80% were used conjunction with a conventional diet (control) containing 50% fish meal, 35% mustard oil cake 15% rice bran. protein contents test ranged 16·7% 30·7%. A 50-day feeding trial conducted at 29–32°C. Each aquarium stocked (mean weight 3·6±0·013 g 5% total body per day. Increment monitored every tenth day amount adjusted accordingly. Feed consumption (mg dry matter intake 100 fish−1 day−1) varied between treatments. average specific rate (% percentage live gain 0·37 0·97 20·0 62·12, respectively, lowest being recorded for most CW. efficiency ratio (PER) CW showed reverse trend, higher increasing amounts decreasing content. Protein lipid deposition lower 20% resulted better than control. results indicate possibilities incorporation Salvinia cuculata supplementary Indian major carp, substituting up level.
