Theoretical model simulating CO2 laser ablation of biological tissue due to steam pressure generation

摘要: are among the most important lasers used for medical applications such as laser surgery. This isused mainly tissue cutting and removal, exploiting high power of this systems absorptionof biological at wavelength. Our research continues earlier studies conducted Tel AvivUniversity since 1987 that come out with a theoretical model simulating irradiated CO2 beam.When examining previous on ablation we have found mechanism steam pressureablation was neglected. Therefore in our work added pressure into studied effects ofthis new laser. The simulations results reveal Top-Hat beam profile(uniformly distributed intensity) produces less thermal damage its efficiency is higher compared withstandard gaussian profile. We saw process considerably higherthan purely process. also noticed layers underneath surface responsible forthe ablation.Keywords: laser, ablation, Top-Hat, tissue, interaction.
