摘要: The advent of in vivo micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) provides a novel approach to measure the temporal adaptation bone micro-architecture within an individual. Spatial alignment scanner between serial scans is challenging, but three-dimensional image registration can be used superimpose resulting data, thus ensuring consistent regions interest (ROI) for analysis. There have been several approaches developed, yet little known about their application high resolution micro-CT data. purpose this study was explore combinations three similarity measures and interpolators, addition multi-resolution configurations, assessment computational efficiency accuracy on both vitro Accuracy were assessed by comparison with gold-standard reference transform based attached fiducial markers. It concluded that mutual information linear interpolator, applied at steps increasing resolution, provided best compromise accurate efficient results. In tibial microstructure measured ovariectomized rat model ROI demonstrating usefulness experimental clinical research. technique poised become commonly utilized analysis data diagnose monitor efficacy therapy diseases.
