A collective approach to Pacific islands fisheries management: moving beyond regional agreements

摘要: Abstract The sustainable management and profitable development of the Pacific island tuna fisheries is key ocean governance challenge for islands region in short medium term. Resolving these challenges fundamental to long term future its ability implement oceans across all resource conservation concerns. This paper identifies some implementation facing States at domestic level discusses further developments sub-regional approaches collective that could significantly boost national capacity effectively their coastal State obligations sustainably manage oceanic resources.
