摘要: Large sandstone polygons interbedded with siltstone units of the Carmel Formation Jurassic age were formed by eolian infilling mud cracks sand, followed lithification and partial removal easily eroded “mold.” Experimental field evidence indicates that thickness a homogeneous deposit controls dimensions mud-crack development.
