摘要: Abstract Calculations have been made of the evolution droplet spectra within small cumulus clouds which are entraining undersaturated environmental air. The mixing process is assumed to be highly inhomogeneous. In extreme situation considered, air entrained in discrete blobs or parcels, causing some droplets all sizes completely removed from condensate spectrum, while others do not change size. This model, based on laboratory experiments, corresponds a time constant for evaporation relative that turbulent mixing; classical (homogeneous) has used by other workers, reverse applies. calculations produce spectral shapes agree well with those observed Warner (1969), and they indicate favored may grow very much faster through spectrum than predicted classically.
