摘要: The integration of new genetic technologies into clinical practice holds great promise for the personalization medical care, particularly use large-scale DNA sequencing genome-wide testing. However, these also yield unprecedented amounts information whose implications are not fully understood, and we still developing technical standards measuring sequence accuracy. These challenges raise ethical issues that similar to but qualitatively different from those accustomed dealing with traditional genetics. sheer amount afforded by genome requires rethinking how implement core principles including, limited to: informed consent, privacy data ownership sharing, technology regulation, access, as is integrated practice, potential stigma impact on perceptions disability.
