摘要: A compact unidirectional cylindrical conformal monopole antenna with 40 mm diameter and 25 height is designed for an impulse radar system. The employed radiating Gaussian monocycle peak-peak width of 300 ps. Impedance loaded adopted to achieve ultrawideband (UWB) impedance matching radiation. Simulations CST Microwave Studio (CST MWS) experiments have been conducted assist the characterization antenna. Simulation results experimental data showed be in good agreement. bandwidth 0.67-2.15 GHz S11 ≤ -10 dB covers main range pulse spectrum. front-to-back ratio amplitude received signal reaches about 3.5:1.
