摘要: Summary Biotic interactions of plants can have legacy effects mediated by changes in plant traits and soil characteristics. Legacy are defined as that persist after the causal biotic interaction ceases, because characteristics plastic modifications may be maintained for long time periods. To date, studies on with above- below-ground organisms their plant-mediated mainly focused short-term continuous presence interacting organisms. Little is known about how ceases indirectly affect future community assembly. Further, since some switch between compartments during ontogeny, impacts soil-dwelling larval stages direct above-ground adult vice versa. Elucidating above below ground will provide a deeper insight into better understanding importance trait- characteristic-mediated indirect shaping assembly, biodiversity ecosystem function.
