摘要: Angiogenesis is a finely tuned process that tightly regulated in time and space by environmental factors (oxygen levels, extracellular matrix, diffusible growth factors, cytokines). Expression of angiogenesis effectors regulators coordinately at both transcriptional posttranscriptional levels. Accumulating evidence suggests regulation mRNA stability plays pivotal role this process. Many AU-rich mRNAs encoding cytokines, receptors are involved cancer inflammation. Overexpression these tumors often correlated with deregulation their stability. decay cis-regulatory elements represented the (AREs) present 3′-UTR target trans-acting ARE-binding proteins (ARE-BPs) control degradation diverse ribonucleases. Competition between ARE-BPs will finally determine whether an degraded or stabilized. Regulation furthermore controlled signaling pathways overactive impact function stabilizing destabilizing factors. In review, we examples genes through ARE-directed focus on processes tumor angiogenesis. We comment modulation ARE-BP expression activity as potential future application anti-angiogenic anti-tumorigenic therapies.
