摘要: The structure of beta LaNi5Dx was solved using neutron powder diffraction methods by making use two specimens, one composed normal Ni, the other 60Ni. patterns showed existence a superlattice line which could be indexed if hexagonal unit cell metal doubled along C axis. refined method Reitveld in space group P63 mc with good agreement between observed and calculated intensities. deuterium found to occupy three different sites; tetrahedrally coordinated Ni4 La2Ni2 neighbours octahedral site, La2Ni4.
