摘要: While level of school education has been related to prevalence cigarette smoking in a number studies, less information is available on the role vocational and occupational contexts. This study analyses relative contribution different types educational experience explaining intensity large sample female male trainees Germany. A standardized questionnaire behaviour performance was applied 27 centers across country, covering total 20527 respondents (77.3% original sample, women: 59.5%, men: 40.5%). Bivariate analysis revealed high current smokers among trainees, both men (51.2%) women (49.4%). Men were more likely be heavy smokers, especially with increasing age. In sexes, particularly following groups: hairdressers, butchers, painters, service personnel (hotels, restaurants), shop assistants/sellers cooks. Multivariate taking level, type training (occupation), age, sex urban-rural background into account highest odds ratios (POR) subjects lowest (POR-5.19 for 4.56 women). Even stronger effects observed (≥20 cigarettes/day). risk being smoker 8.92, 13.54 compared high-school leaving qualification. Poor must considered relatively strongest predictor trainees. Preventive efforts should directed at specific target groups such as those identified by this study.
