摘要: Network science is an emerging tool in systems biology and oncology, providing novel, system-level insight into the development of cancer. The aim this project was to study signaling networks process oncogenesis explore adaptive mechanisms taking part cancerous transformation healthy cells. For purpose, colon cancer proved be excellent candidate as preliminary phase, adenoma has a long evolution time. In our work, transcriptomic data have been collected from normal colon, adenoma, samples calculating link (i.e., network edge) weights approximative proxies for protein abundances, were included Human Cancer Signaling Network. Here we show that phase clearly differs states terms more scattered weight distribution enlarged diameter. Modular analysis shows rearrangement apoptosis- cell-cycle-related modules, whose pathway enrichment supports relevance targeted therapy. Our work enriches system-wide assessment development, showing specific changes state.
