摘要: Twenty patients with deafferentation pain were treated by chronic stimulation of the motor cortex. The central fissure was localized using stereotactic MRI and cortex mapped intra-operative somatosensory evoked potentials. Seven trigeminal neuropathic experienced definite relief varying between 40 100%. Ten had secondary to nervous system lesions. A satisfactory long-lasting control (pain > 40%) obtained in five them (50% cases). One patient from peripheral nerve injury more than 80% relief. Two spinal cord did not respond but other an excellent long-term result.
