摘要: The linkage of Kaposi sarcoma (KS) to infection by a novel human herpesvirus (Kaposi sarcoma-associated [KSHV]) is one the great successes contemporary biomedical research and was achieved using advanced genomic technologies in manner informed nuanced understanding epidemiology clinical investigation. Ongoing efforts understand molecular mechanisms which KSHV predisposes KS continue be powerfully influenced insights emanating from clinic. Here, recent developments pathogenesis are reviewed, with particular emphasis on clinical, pathologic, observations that highlight many differences between this process tumorigenesis other oncogenic viruses.
