摘要: Heavy drinking and associated consequences are widespread among U.S. college students. Recently, Read et al. (Read, J. P., Kahler, C. W., Strong, D., & Colder, R. (2006). Development preliminary validation of the Young Adult Alcohol Consequences Questionnaire. Journal Studies on Alcohol, 67, 169-178) developed Questionnaire (YAACQ) to assess broad range that may result from heavy in milieu. In present study, we sought add psychometric this measure by employing a prospective design examine test-retest reliability, concurrent validity, predictive validity YAACQ. We also utility YAACQ administered early semester prediction functional outcomes later semester, including persistence drinking, academic functioning. Ninety-two students (48 females) completed self-report assessment battery during first weeks Fall approximately one week later. Additionally, 64 subjects (37 participated at an optional third time point end semester. Overall, demonstrated strong internal consistency, validity. scores were both frequency, "binge" frequency. total baseline indicator performance with greater number experienced being negatively end-of-semester grade average. Specific subscale (Impaired Control, Dependence Symptoms, Blackout Drinking) showed unique persistent outcomes.
