摘要: Neurons in the arm areas of external and internal segments globus pallidus (GPe GPi) ventral pallidum (VP) have been examined a visuomotor step-tracking task. This task, which was similar to that used previously examine neurons area putamen, dissociated direction movement from pattern muscle activity associated with movement. The major finding present study is that, as almost half GPe GPi related Cells overall patterns were rare, although many had static and/or dynamic load effects resembled those seen muscle. Responses application also this paradigm order determine nature possible somatosensory input. Short-latency “sensory” responses found but, by contrast, they occurred somewhat later included bidirectional responses. Similar proportions cells GP putamen loads. Some VP appeared encode information about specific features trials, but majority nonspecific suggesting relations more general
