摘要: INTRODUCTION AND AIMS Alcohol-related harm reduction may target individuals, their households or communities. This study investigates the prevalence of and socioeconomic inequalities in alcohol use alcohol-related consequences (injury, accident, property loss interpersonal violence) at family-level. DESIGNS METHODS A cross-sectional survey 2394 was conducted eight provinces from six regions two metropolitan cities Vietnam. Family-level injury were computed individual data, while other measures on a household basis. Unstandardised indirectly standardised concentration index used to measure degree expenditure-based inequality its consequences. RESULTS Over previous 12 months, 88.5% 46.2% had least one current-drinker heavy episodic drinking person, 41.7% person breadwinner. About 5.3% suffered injury, accident loss; 11.4% reported violence. Poor near-poor double-burdens both having harm. modest gradient observed with all types drinker, more concentrated among higher living-standard households, especially urban areas. However, there persistent high-level disadvantaging lower families, rural areas, suffering measured harms. DISCUSSION CONCLUSIONS Alcohol are highly prevalent Lower important groups for prevention interventions. The appeared be useful
