摘要: Publisher Summary New markers, especially enzymes or isoenzymes, have proved useful for the detection of preneoplastic lesions in various organs both animals and man. In addition, description marker has also played an important role characterizing metabolic patterns cells, thus providing insights that facilitated analysis carcinogenic processes. Recently, certain molecular forms glutathione transferase (GT), one most drug-metabolizing enzymes, been reported as reliable markers neoplastic tissue. This chapter reviews known GT rat, human, other species. Particular attention is focused on unique properties rat GT-P (7-7) human GT-π, what their gene expression possible functions. Furthermore, GT, including ligandin, multipotential detoxifying functions therefore, stimulated to study changes roles metabolism carcinogens.
