摘要: Extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) has been implicated in cocaine-induced behavioral sensitization. We sought to determine whether ERK activation the nucleus accumbens (NAcc), site mediating expression of sensitization, shows time-dependent changes after cocaine withdrawals. The basal levels phosphorylation NAcc show no on withdrawal day 1, while they increase 7, then gradually lower down reach same level 21 compared saline pre-exposed rats. Either total or both phosphorylated and p38 protein are not different any time-point measurements. These results suggest that such may contribute neuronal plasticity leading long-lasting as drug craving.
