Living roof and wall systems using cultivated mineral wool mats to support blaves, methods of cultivation and innoculants therefor

摘要: Soil-free living roof and wall systems comprising a layer of Bryophytes, Lichen, And Vascular Epiphytes (BLAVE) on the surface thin, light-weight, flexible, fire-resistant mat mineral wool having density in range about 6 - 12 lbs/cu ft thickness 3/8" to 3/4". Mats are provided modular units order 2' x 4'; no irrigation or growth medium is used. The mats adhered with adhesive mastic, may be secured fasteners. In preferred embodiment, include flexible over base sheet non- woven plastic fibers, from 2 4mm thick, wide-mesh netting BLAVE layer, sewn through layer. Methods module manufacture, innoculant mix production, installation cultivation/propagation disclosed.
