Evaluation of moisture-induced damage of dense graded and gap graded asphalt mixture with nanopolymer modified binder

摘要: The purpose of this research is to study the moisture induce damage performance dense graded (AC14) and stone mastic asphalt (SMA14) pavement using Nanolyacrylate polymer modified binder. physical properties aggregate, volumetric mixes were assessed evaluated with laboratory tests. investigates fourteenth different mixtures consisting NP binder formulations at 2%, 4% 6%. Two types binder, penetration grade PEN 80-100 PG 76 added Nanopolyacrylate as modifier. was prepared by adding 6 percent (NP) Both AC14 SMA14 passed Marshall requirements which indicate that these good respect durability flexibility. In terms damage, it observed strength increased addition Similar trend could also be seen for mixes, where ITS value showed a significant difference compared all exceeded minimum requirement specified in specification. Thus, nanopolyacrylate has significantly improved cohesion well adhesion hence stripping performance. Therefore, can concluded nanopolyacylate suitable used modifier order enhance thus improving both mixes.
