Quality of life scales for patients with cancer: how often to administer?

摘要: AIMS: To determine the optimum frequency of quality life assessment in patients with cancer. METHODS: The Spitzer unidimensional overall scale was administered to 41 cancer comparing a monthly averaged weekly assessments (group 1) and two 2). RESULTS: Monthly measures reflected scores well although some reported difficulty recalling over month period. However generally preferred assessments. CONCLUSION: For longitudinal study is optimal. If practically difficult or measurements give good reflection but are more comfortable rather than measurements.
