Poor-risk aggressive lymphoma

摘要: Patienten met een agressieve vorm van lymfeklierkanker worden meestal behandeld combinatie celremmende middelen (cytostatica) en antistoffen. Als deze behandeling faalt, wordt bij jonge patienten autologe stamceltransplantatie verricht, om alsnog te proberen genezing bereiken. Hierbij zeer hoge doses cytostatica toegediend, gevolgd door transplantatie tevoren afgenomen ingevroren stamcellen, afkomstig uit het eigen beenmerg. Uit promotieonderzoek Gustaaf Imhoff blijkt dat vroege stamceltransplantatie vooral tot betere leidt wanneer voldoende stevige voorbehandeling gegeven. Een kwart de bleek echter ook voor dosis cytostatische therapie ongevoelig zijn. Het mogelijk op basis speciale kleuringen (immunohistochemie) tumormateriaal in schatten welke beter of minder goed zouden reageren behandelvorm. Naar aanleiding resultaten dit onderzoek is nieuwe landelijke studie opgezet, waarbij standaard behandeling rechtstreeks elkaar vergeleken.
