The Scattering of High Energy Neutrons by Nuclei

摘要: The experiments of Cook, McMillan, Peterson , and Sewell on the cross sections nuclei for neutrons about 90 Mev indicate that are partially transparent to high energy neutrons. It is shown results can be explained quite satisfactorily using a nuclear radius R=1.37Ai X 10-" cm, potential neutron in nucleus 31 Mev, mean free path matter 4.5X cm. This agrees with estimated from n-p section but not sensitive choice path.
