THE EFFECT OF THE GUIDED DISCLOSURE PROTOCOL ON DAILY STRESS, MOOD AND COPING

摘要: Objective: This expressive writing study had three main objectives: 1) To investigate the efficacy of Guided Disclosure Protocol (Gidron et al., 2002) in improving mood and wellbeing individuals who experienced a stressful, traumatic or upsetting event last 5 years, 2) explore hypothesis that might work by enabling to cope better with daily hassles and, 3) consider whether high depression, baseline stress levels alexithymia moderated effects. Design Methods: Eighty-eight healthy participants completed measures depression (DAS-21) (TAS) were randomised into two conditions (GDP, control). All wrote for twenty minutes over consecutive days before completing seven-day diary immediately following (Time at follow-up months later 2). In asked report on their record subsequent (PANAS) coping (Brief COPE). The DAS-21 was repeated Time 2 after completion. Results: The data analysed using hierarchical linear modelling.
