Methodological Trends in Disability and Higher Education Research: Historical Analysis of the Journal of Postsecondary Education and Disability.

摘要: In order to assess the status of research base that informs “what works” for students with disabilities in higher education, it is necessary conduct an examination methodologies used literature. The authors current study analyzed methodological trends across thirty-year lifespan Journal Postsecondary Education and Disability, spanning years 1983 2012. Every article published by JPED was coded using electronic tool comprised four domains corresponding subdomains. concluded data-based studies constitute more than half all Journal, majority articles being descriptive quantitative nature. Only six a control or comparison condition. Additional findings implications are discussed.
